Ok, so for months I've been thinking about ordering a custom Agile guitar. Now, you guys who know me are aware that I'm a Gibson, so this is kind of an experiment for me..

Anyway I was looking on the Rondo Music site and I found this single cut good top. It looked badass, so after checking out the specs I saw that it was a Custo. Order that was never picked up (or something similar to that). It's freaking gorgeous. Spec wise it looks amazing..

So wish me luck guys, I hope this will be a killer axe...

I literally just put in the order, I have no clue. I only know this company has a good rep, and I purchased it through PayPal. Hopefully by no later then next week...

I'm a Gibson man too. I really Hope you like the guitar but putting money on a guitar that won't have a good resale price is something I won't do ever again.

Very good point, and that's my concern too. However, I didn't drop Gibson money on this guitar. I won't say how much I spent, but when you see this thing it looks crazy nice.

I too hope I like the guitar..

Just saying that because I put a lot of money on a great Epiphone, pups, wiring, plekked it... etc, but for some reason it never got to the level of "playability" of my Gibson's, then you try and sell it and all that "investment" was knocked by the headstock name. As I said it was a great guitar but I never got anything back. Sold that one at a massive loss (good thing I kept the original pups at least). If you like it and are going to keep it, it's all good man but don't expect to "recoup" the cash there. Keep us posted man, I'd like to see/hear how it goes with it.
    Cheers

Congrats from a fellow Gibson man!! I am getting the itch for a new one also, hate when that feeling starts and there is no use in trying to ignore or suppress it because that just makes it worse...

What model is it dude? the Agile 8 string and multi-scale 8's are popular with a lot of dudes over at the 7 string forum.

I was very interested in Agile at one time, they got fantastic reviews for a $200 guitar, but then I got thinking, why would I want a cheap knock-off of the real thing when I already have the real thing, it will never be as good. Then it seemed like a waste of $200 that could go towards something else. Seeing that you already went through with it, it will be an interesting $200 experiment for us all to see. Good luck with it.

We are on different mind sets here. I'm not replacing a Gibson, nor am I replacing the NEED for a Gibson. I CAN afford another Gibson, but that's not what I'm looking for at all.

I was looking through the site and seen the single cut gold top. It's beautiful, and it's not 200 dollars. It's a custom order that wasn't picked up, so the price was reduced, but by no means is it a cheap knock off...

This is my first serious purchase that isn't an American built instrument. Hopefully that clears it up..

Pretty excited and I'm not meaning to make this a Gibson vs thread..

I think it's an ALXXX Custom. It's a six string single cut body, gold top. And solid mahogany. It has multiple binding on the body and headstock. and binding on the neck. It also has an Ebony fret board and real MoP trapezoid inlays.. The fret board has a wide radius 13.75".... It only has 22 frets..

    Ya can't wait..
