I've had it for a couple of days now, and I'm very impressed! I was going to get the newer Zendrive II mosfet version, but this was priced right. I don't know if I should place it before, or after the double Hot Cake? The Hot Cake is buffered, so I'll assume it should come before the HC? It's got a 12AX7 tube in it, so I placed it after the HC.

It's an incredible sounding pedal! Stacks perfectly with my Crowther Double Hot Cake. I was concerned about using it with the AC15 top boost channel, but the voicing control takes care of that. I want to get an original Zendrive next.

I am still unfamiliar with them as a hole, I have not been on a pedal
quest in some time, but I am not liking the vox tone lab in front of the amps at gig level!
So I may have to change it up!
    Cheers Mitch

No experience with a Zen yet but I do like Lovepedals. Have a Kanji 9 right now & had a few others, anyway that is suppose to be the Zen to get if you could only have one is my understanding. Nice score!

I was running the pedal using a 9VDC @ 100ma wall-wart. After doing some research, I discovered 200ma is required; due to the tube heaters. Whether it needs all of that, I do not know? I decided to use the 400ma side of my Mundo power block, and man... does this pedal sing! :)

I love the original ZenDrive so much, I kept one hid at the store I worked at, you know...for me time.

And it does stack very well with other dirt boxes.

I'm loving this pedal! The "voicing" control acts like a secondary gain control. It very much reminds me of my old Fender Pro-Sonic amplifier. Running it after other drive pedals is the way to go, for sure. The double Hot Cake works perfectly with it, which I didn't expect.

It's an awesome pedal. Most amp-like I've ever played. How much of a role the 12AX7 tube plays, I do not know? I've heard you can run the Zendrive 2 without the tube, to get the solid-state Zendrive sound. I haven't tried it, so I don't know if this is true? If the 12AX7 replaces s-s diode clipping, I don't see how it could work? A combination of tube + s-s diodes in parallel?

The Zendrive 2 stacks incredibly well with the Crowther Double Hot Cake. At no point do I feel like I can do without either one. Anyone who tells you that the Hot Cake is meant for Vox amps only, doesn't know what they're talking about. My Silver Jubilee loves it!

If you've ever played a D style clone, and liked it, I think you'll find the Zendrive 2 similar, if not a bit better.
