I just got done trying this delay unit. It gives me exactly what I wanted. A warm transparent delay that doesn't step on your tone.. It has 3 settings Analog ,Real Echo and Tape Echo. I like all 3 settings and the unit works well in front of the amp. I bought this because I don't like my Boss DD3 at all. The DD3 is very cold it's kind of wet and it sounds fake and artificial to me. It changes my tone to much.
I've been using the reecho for 2 or 3 years on my live pedalboard. It is very very good for anyone needing just a little to moderate delay without sacrificing the guitars tone.
How convincing is the tape echo setting? Does it have that modulated wash as the notes decay? Just curious, thanks!
I could not agree more! I tried the DD3 so many times. In front & in the loop it sounded terrible! I like analog delays; they sound good in front of my amps too.
