Got 2 new pedals today for my little G15MS home office rig. GC on sale last week $30 off each. Now I got some tube drive (12AX7) and chorus on the little solid state rascal.
How is that Tube Pilot? I’ve been thinking about grabbing one but I haven’t tried one out - none of my local shops carry it.
Well I'm not an expert on pedals (usually happy with gain dimed on my Haze15H & DSL20H), but the Tube Pilot makes the Lead15 sound a lot like the DSL1 on the same cabs. I've been wanting to try some different OD pedals, as the Origin20H is next on my acquisition scheme. The only other effects I have to compare with is a Boss ME-80 multi board. (I like that too) I have a Boss SD-1 coming for Christmas from my son that I plan to put on my DSL20H, and I also plan to compare with the Tube Pilot on the Lead15 to see the difference on small solid state. I'll post an update here in about 19 days.
