Almost all I have heard about 6V6 leads to Mark Huss 6V6 plexi. I had a build based on this , still in a moving box somewhere ?

So it didn't sound very good? I assume it would be out if you liked it.

Oh , I don’t know yet it is in a box because I moved before I finished it . I am dying to get back to it. Mine is similar but not 6v6.
If you go to the last page M Huss has clips posted.

This is the plan for now, pretty small and not too expensive.

looks very straightforwards. Will be very interested to see how it turns out. My TMB18EF86 is not dissimilar on the EF86 channel.

I hear this is built off of a schematic from the Mullard book, you probably have one of them.

Terry from D-lab is one of my heroes. He creates an amp with the ef86.

Triode shipped the transformers next day postal service takes over 3 weeks to deliver.
USPS has also held the tubes I ordered for 3 weeks (500 miles away)
and my parts from tube depot usually 2 days are now going on 3 weeks and counting.

Just can't get anything going on this one

anyone have suggestions on choke size for this? I ordered a Vox one 10H. I was worried the higher resistance of the marshall 20H may knock the volts down too much. I guess I could adjust resistors accordingly so maybe I should order both? I have to order now so I can get them by spring.

The 20H saga lots when pushed so I would not worry if you have one spare. TBh I can’t really tell the difference between the two chokes.

Got tired of waiting for parts so I drilled a bunch of holes yesterday. It made me realize how much I like pre punched chassis. I hope to fill the holes today.

I know everyone is bored and needs amp pics to look at so I took a few after I bolted some parts together.

Nice this looks like a cool project. I'll be keen to hear how the EF86 works out. Good luck with the build!

I have been warned about the ef86 and have been brain storming a back up plan. I also ordered all Metal film resisters even though I have read it will make my amp sound sterile. I couldn't get all the same series resistors either as some sizes weren't available or in stock so it may be a little random.

Yeah, that's what the smart people do. I have collected a small parts department just not complete. I always need something.
