Good question ,....me too want to know !
For what it is worth I have read Dexoit is fine on switches and inputs BUT can ruin pots ! Instead use for pots CAIG LABORATORIES "MCL" if you have it. The name has changed in 2006 from CaiLube MCL to Deoxit Fader Lube !
Per their site:
DEOXIT® FADER F-SERIES
Moving Contact Lubricant for Conductive Plastic Faders and Controls
DeoxIT® Fader F-Series is a precision lubricant for moving contact surfaces (faders, switches, potentiometers and other mechanisms with sliding surfaces).
It replenishes lubrication lost on surfaces that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
I was told the "regular" Deoxit can/may damage the "wafer" material in pots. So, instead of taking the chance of using it on your pots, I would use from the same manufacturer one of their Deoxit Fader F-Series products
