Hey guys, here's the new axe I was waxing on about in the pickup thread!

It's a PRS 245 SE TS set the action and pickup height and I have to admit although it's the honeymoon phase it's so good I may have to keep it.

I will give it some time but it has that perfect crystal clear crunch tone I love.
so everything shines through and you can play blues to rock to metal without adjusting anything but technique.
I'm really impressed for the price point etc.
I thought my buddy's couple were just good scores but it's looking more and more like the SE's in general are just really good guitars for the money because this one sounds (to me) better than his by far and his are pretty nice!

as far as the music goes only time will tell, but I am trying to get something done with it )

the neck to me fels pretty SG like so I like it. I would have gone wider on the frets but that's about it really and even that doesn't hinder anything. it's a great sounding axe though......really impressed with the tone.

I'm really liking this axe. sounds a lot like a les paul but with the SG bite you get from that old Angus/Malcolm tone. THAT is the tone I love. that with a gain boost and that's my metal tone. not conventional no but sexy as hell

Anyway does anyone know where I can get a CHEAP prs 5/16 thin walled and ANGLED truss wrench? neck's decent right now but i'm playing 11's in a440 and think I should flatten it a slight bit. PRS has a KIT but it's $45 and that's a bit much for a truss wrench imho.... that said if it's what I need I CAN pay someone. that's not a problem I just think PRS wants way too much for theirs.
