NGD (x2) Warmoth

Hey guys, just wanted to show you a couple of things I've been working on.

Mahogany body with Roasted Maple top. T-style with forearm contour and belly cut. Tru-oil finish.
Wenge Neck with Dark Rosewood Fretboard. Short scale conversion neck with 59 Roundback profile & straight 12" fb radius.
Pickups are Jim Wagner Darkburst set. Separate independent volumes with tone on neck pickup, no selector switch.
Tonepros TOM & Stopbar, Schaller M6 mini tuners.

SD Hot P90 with A2 magnet swap. Volume only.

I just built a Tele myself. Mahogany/Purpleheart body flamed w/ Maple cap. USA Strat neck...

 

Beautiful guitar Steve! Tell us a little for your experience with Warmoth, Did you call them or just order everything online?How was the fit and finish of the pieces? Just curious about the experience.

 

I order online using the body builder or neck builder and choose the options I want. Warmoth has great customer service and are very helpful if you do call them with questions. All the parts I've bought from them come pretty much ready for finish and I've never had an issue with fit. I've only ever ordered one body that had a finish and it was flawless, of course you pay for that and it's not cheap. That's why I've done my own finish on the rest of them. I've built 7 or 8 Warmoth guitars now.

 

Truth. I just finished a Strat body project, perfect fit no problems. Love the guitar builder software. Really happy with Warmoth.

 

That's a beauty, man. What did you use for the body finish?

 

I bought it used, don't know who made the body. It looks like it just has a light coat of Nitro.

Here's the strat. Neck is USA Fender '81. Body is Basswood Warmoth. Paint/relic by MJT Guitars.

 

Don't like neck pickups, huh?

 

I can do w/o but I didn't have them when I took the pic. I have them now....Wolfetone Strat Bitch.

The Tele I have not decided yet...possibly the SD Hot Rails? (If they fit) Open to suggestions.....

If it's a Warmoth body it won't fit. I have a Tele neck Hot rails sitting here because it didn't fit.

It's not a Warmoth body, no stamp in the neck pocket anyway. No marking anywhere it's kind of an odd duck....
