Lawsuit Electra SG was just waiting for me, early '70s and super clean minus the missing front pickup, not to worry though as it will be getting some killers.........Pearly Gates maybe, hmmmmm. Pretty killer score round here nowadays and right up my alley, happy.
It's a honey, 5pc maple neck, Brazilian board, pancake Honduran body... Great stuff. Soon to be a fire breather!
Oh yeah, super stable neck joint, epoxy'd and screwed.dunno if thats stock but it moves less than my two real Gibson SG's do, perfect angle too. This thing is the business.

    Happy NGD!
I love a good fixer upper, and that ax is in good shape, sans the missing parts.
So many options, and no fear of messing up some sort of vintage original resale status.
I've got a filing cabinet full of old parts from all the mods and builds I've done.
Please share the final set up.
    Cheers

Nice score! I have a '76 Electra 335 and the build quality is great. Better out of the box than some of my Gibsons.

    Ooh nice, Electras are cool

I'd upgrade those tuners and probably dump the second pickup too, low spec tuners probably means low spec pickups too

The Maxon pickups have their own thing going and sound pretty good usually, this one has something wrong with it though so its gettin binned. It sounds all nasally and outta phase, with one pickup!!

Cool, let's see what you're doin man.
And you can have this pickup if you want it. I know you've fixed them before.

Thanx y'all, this thing will get a thorough cleaning today and some Duncans installed.
I need to brave the hoard for some pickup surrounds, alls i got is cream, not too happy bout that but it'll be worth it. Can't wait for it to sing, all it does is wheeze and cough right now.
Might get some Grovers for it if they got'em.

    Maxons are usually great

IS it a Maxon, though? Oftentimes, the old japs had two equipment tiers, Gotoh branded sealed tuners + high spec pickups (Maxons etc.) or trapezoid tuners + whatever

Bolt-on vs set wasn't neccesarily indicative btw, plenty of models with bolt ons but Gotoh hardware and good pups

Looks like they got that bridge pickup a little far away from the bridge ?
