Thanks! The neck is a little different than my previous Ibanez (US Custom RG20) - kind of a reversal in way, where that neck was more narrow across the board but thicker in girth, this Prestige is wider across but thinner in feel/grip. Small adjusting period, but c'mon, lol, it's still a wizard...jumped right in a feeling pretty comfy with it! Clippage coming today. ;)

Thanks man! I think I stumbled onto your pics when I was doing some homework on this one actually lol! Great gear dude!! Glad to see the puzzle made the cut and has been with you all this time!

Thanks for that! Yep, true 4mm thick maple top with individual pieces. I think the shot on the case is kinda cool too because it shows the character of the alternating grain pieces a little better (did you catch that - they're both flame and quilt pieces, nice touch). And I'm with ya - if it was too over the top I wouldn't have bought it, much prefer 'easy on the eyes' type gear, nothing too stark for me please.

    Thank you!

Thanks! Heh, it's all subjective I guess. Lots of Ibanez' came stock with these type knobs in the 90's, always loved that look. This one came with chrome knobs, not bad but not 'personalized' enuff for me. Speed knobs have never grabbed me, not even on Suhrs...maybe on an old Kramer, but otherwise, not a fan.

    Thanks DP! :hbang:

Here's a YouTube test clip of the new guitar. I'm putting together a little promo/ad vid for my friends website/store. Perfect chance to get familiar with the new 'Nez. Just kicking around some ideas so if it's lame..LET ME KNOW IT. Where I fade out and the site name comes in will of course have some images of his store, etc, throughout the rest of the clip. It's short, but it just needs to punch you in the face and grab your attention, not a full tune or anything like that. I threw some chords together and wanked a shreddy lead in like 20 min total lol. Not sure on the tone either...that was also done on the fly as well yesterday afternoon with the new guitar. Anyway...

Great looking guitar, fresh and original design.

I've saved one of your pics to my desktop if that's ok with you.

Thanks!! I think I got lucky, sounds good enuff to keep the audio and get to work on the easier stuff now for this guys video!

I hear ya both, definitely one of the sweeter things Ibanez ever put out, lots of nice little elegant touches, the alternating flame/quilt pieces, rosewood headstock (vs paint) and especially the pearl puzzle maker at the 12th fret (though I think two small puzzle pieces would've been better)! I'm selfishly glad these were so limited now lol (from what I've read, roughly 64 world wide for each three flavors back in '06 for the NAMM show...pretty kewl to know).

Thanks, DP! Just big enough to shake the cam a little. C5 add 9 add #9

    Thanks! :hbang:

Thanks blues! It came with the standard cosmo black chrome domes, which are nice but too common for me, most erbody has those, I need it more 'me', lol, and strat type knobs have always been my thing, except ironically on that Charvel you like, lol...which I prefer to think of as mocha (though "desert" has a nice ring to it)!

Ok, sorry to bump this but I finished up the lil ad/promo (featuring this new guitar!) I created for my friends local store. Never done one of these before, think it turned out solid. I tried to keep it "light and not too serious" (per their request).

Never seen one of those jigsaw designs. I really like it! It's understated enough to be classy. Nice playing too.
