My new Les Paul Standard 50’s model arrived today. It’s fantastic - the fit, finish, and setup are spot-on. This may be the best LP I’ve had yet, and I have owned many over the years. At the core it’s essentially the same guitar as my two 2013 Trad’s, but the fit and finish on this one is much better. I really like the Burstbuckers too, after some minor height adjustments they really sing now. Good job Gibson. Got to give a shout out to Willcutt guitars too, great service and experience.

Congratulations! That’s a beauty for sure. It’s always nice to find that one that just rises above all the rest. May it serve you well.
    Post some clips?!

Let's say you could only keep one ... which of the three do you choose?

from a looks stand point, the one on the left but the one on the right is not getting the light
    enough to be fair.

    Absolutely gorgeous @Delete!! HNGD! :D

I hope to have one of the new standards sometime in the future.

Is there any difference in tone, to your ears, between your new solid standard and any of the weight-relieved ones you've played? At least anything that isn't due to pickup or string differences?

Congratulations on a fine looking instrument, may you enjoy many years in good health together. Now, there seems to be just enough room for one more with P90’s, maybe a gold top?

Tough choice, but I would have to choose the new one - it plays better all the way up and down the neck. Tuning is better also (less binding in the nut).

Good question, I don’t remember the “Swiss Cheese” models being that different to my ears.....but the chambered models definitely sounded different to me. To be honest, I can’t really remember what the difference was - only that a difference does exist. But, I love the solid bodies and the weight really isn’t too bad.

Thanks. Did you personally pick out your new LP or did you order online with the store picking it out?

Gibson is really making some great Les Paul's again. I have one of these, mine is an "Unburst".

well shit. ok one of either on the outside but i do very much like the one in the middle too.
when i was a young kid it had to be that color before i would even accept it as a les paul.
it was a Ace Frehley thing lol. yrs before i even started my own guitar journey.

The flame on the Trad on the left is amazing. Especially with the gold pups. Lovely.

Love these!! The flame is outstanding!! Wish there was a LOVE butron!!

I have a few 9 hole reliefones, I hear no difference at all betwixt those and the 1976 solid. I appreciate the lighter weight for 3 hr shows!!

Those are some smokin LPs right there.
