I really wanted a Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Found a few. Played a few. Chose this one. Even over a AAA Flame Top Standard HCS. Have to keep the poolside tradition going too.

The Tri-Burst has the Fralin Pure PAF's in it. My favorite pickups of all time. So it's my #1. Love and play them all though.

What a great guitar - congrats! I swear I like the plain top better than the AAA tops on some guitars. While beautiful, they sometimes seem a little shouty, if that makes sense. That guitar looks like it wants to be played.

I like both, but I get exactly what you're saying. I think the Heritage Cherry and the Tri-burst are gorgeous. They look like guitars meant for the stage and damn rock n roll. The AAA are museum like. I love to play them, I love to look at them, but I rock out with the plain bursts and the Gold Top. True classics!

That's one of the best HCS's I've ever seen. Great piece of wood and finish.

Used to prefer Honeyburst, the finish on yours is lovely though.

    What's her year?

I agree. Why I picked one in person. Looked online first to see who had what. There were 3 to choose from where I made my purchase. Had them all side by side for appearance, and played them all. This one played the best and looks the best. Love it! Played for no less than 4 hours yesterday.

Congrats on your most fine new Gibson Les Paul Sunburst day . Now promptly rock her thru a Good Ole Marshall and don't be shy on the decibels . As the Marshall's need a good dose of volume to hit that sweet spot :headbanger:
