Looks lean mean green machine!
what exact floyd is on it?
I misspoke. This neck is thin. The model above it has the thicker neck! I am a happy camper! It ticks all boxes. If sustain could be better with a brass block I will get one. Might even change entire bridge out. Still a bargain. It's $900 CDN not 2500. While I have no problem spending that and more on my LPs etc, if worth it, in this case I win at this price!!
The Floyd Special. Built in Korea, dont care, but w zinc alloy instead of stainless amd brass. Given my number of guitars and limited gigs still, it won't get tons of use. If it gets suspect then I will change it. Gotta get the D Tuna on there!!
i dont know it they make a tuna for that model do they?
Yup. Any FR that sits flat against body, no floating.
Starting to see those everywhere- Lol.
JK, top shelf sir.
You can do the D-tuna on a floating if you have one of the devices to lock the bridge so it doesn't float. Nuno Bettencourt and some others do it.
HNGD ! Great guitar, love the color ! And that strap looks awesome too, I bet it's super comfy.
And D-Tuna doesn't really work on a full floating FR, it instantly knocks the guitar out of tune. You need to either have a device to give it a "zero point" or turn it into dive-only.
HNGD! Beautiful guitar! I don't have one, yet, but friends that do absolutely love them!
HNGD! It looks really mean, and the strap couldn't match better!
Looks fantastic my brother, and the well hung strap is killer too.
Nice Jethro. Congrats!
It should have come with it. All WGs come with the D-Tuna standard, even the imports.
Did you used to do stand up ? or are you a writer ? You never fail to crack me up -honest to God !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being from Regina I have an affection for that green. Does it have the maple cap with flamed veneer? Most importantly, how does it sound?
Years ago I changed the zinc block of the FR Special in my Dean C350F to brass, didn't notice much difference other than less highs maybe, maybe. If I did it again, I'd change the entire bridge or leave it. We'll see when I swap the FR Special in my Squier Strat (don't laugh, it sounds awesome), to a Gotoh GE1996T.
