Sweet pair of rock/shred machines! Does the CS have any figuring in the neck? SS frets? What kind of Duncans did they put in it? Do they split? Is that pau ferro or rosewood?

    C'mon bro - details! :applause:

    More of a fantasy really.

I always thought that if you closed your eyes while playing an Ibanez, you could almost fool yourself into thinking that it was a hockey stick CJ. Very similar in many ways...to me.

I had this model right after my Glp studio.
    completely different animal.
I sounded much better on the LP
The Rg760 let all my sloppiness be heard

$ 750 was a lot of dough for me back then

I'll stack up my original pre-pro against any guitar in terms of tone and playability. Fit and finish are perfect too. I will agree that it stays in tune perfectly-as long the V trem is not used. Those Charvel brass V trems contributed to a great tone -given the bright woods- but they didn't stay in tune for nothing. Hence many got Floyded.

I have nothing against Floyds but it changed the recipe.

The newer Fender Charvels are great guitars but they are not exactly the same. How can they be? They and later 80s CJs are designed around the Floyd Rose and Kahler locking trems. Actually, a pointy really needs a double locking trem more than a strat head.
