I really regret selling my 1964 Harmony H77. The DeArmond Gold Foil pickups in it were some of the best ever made. However, the rest of the guitar was difficult to deal with. Eastwood/Airline is making some great guitars the last few years, including remakes of several of the old Harmony/Airline/Silvertone guitars from the 60s and they really nailed this one. Their version of the pickups sound nearly identical to the DeArmonds :applause: I had never played my Harmony thru a Marshall (was using Fender amps back then) but this H77 thru my DSL100 with 1960 cab, its just awesome. Bridge pickup with the guitar cranked and the gain halfway up on Lead 1 gets a great rock sound (think classic Townshend). Crank up the gain some more and you get that Dan Auerbach (Black Keys) kinda sound, almost a fuzz to it. Im going to have to pick up a few more Airline/Eastwoods I was looking at, highly recommend this one.

    Hows it feel to play?

I picked up an Eastwood Mandocaster a few years back and for the price it is an awesome instrument. Ive often wondered about the guitars as there, like your new one, are some really cool looking guitars in their range.

It plays pretty nice actually. Neck is a bit more rounded than I'd prefer but not as bad as a 50s profile neck from Gibson. This is my 3rd Airline/Eastwood and all are great. Here are my other two, the '59 1P and the '59 3P Custom DLX.
