I really regret selling my 1964 Harmony H77. The DeArmond Gold Foil pickups in it were some of the best ever made. However, the rest of the guitar was difficult to deal with. Eastwood/Airline is making some great guitars the last few years, including remakes of several of the old Harmony/Airline/Silvertone guitars from the 60s and they really nailed this one. Their version of the pickups sound nearly identical to the DeArmonds I had never played my Harmony thru a Marshall (was using Fender amps back then) but this H77 thru my DSL100 with 1960 cab, its just awesome. Bridge pickup with the guitar cranked and the gain halfway up on Lead 1 gets a great rock sound (think classic Townshend). Crank up the gain some more and you get that Dan Auerbach (Black Keys) kinda sound, almost a fuzz to it. Im going to have to pick up a few more Airline/Eastwoods I was looking at, highly recommend this one.
