Congrats! That color/finish combo is gorgeous!
Two more days! I was originally looking at the faded studio's from 2016. I was wanting the burstbucker's but couldn't get a deal on a used one. I still like that worn brown too. it looked sharp. It would have been nice to get one when they were $799. I am still pissed off about that. But know I will be happy with a new one. I am glad it has the push/pull knobs too. My UPS driver is my work driver too. I don't know if he would drop it off at work or home. He plays guitar too. We talk gear all the time.
What are the stock pickups?
498T bridge and 490R. I am good with these but something different would have been nice.
You might really like them! They are a classic combination
Nice. Whenever I'm browsing the gear sites, or see the various ads on other websites, this Wine Red LP always catches my eye. This and the Smokehouse Burst or whatever it's called.
Once it arrives, clips are mandatory or we'll be all over you...
keep an eye out for those porch pirates.
......also, if you tell them it's your birthday they will give you another 10% off I think. I remember buying a Martin acoustic from them years ago. I pulled the trigger when they were running a sale, then I got another 10% off when I told them it was my birthday. seriously. I don't know if they still do this, but I guess it's too late now.
Enjoy it for the rest of your life.
Good for you, that's how it is done. Hope you enjoy the new guitar!
I thought you were boycotting Gibson and Marshall and encouraging others to do the same?
Or are you only boycotting them when you can't afford them? Makes sense in a weird way I guess....
Congrats! That will be an awesome guitar.
Aw, you even got it in a seasonal colour.... looks good, man!
Congrats, enjoy it. After almost 40 yrs of playing I got my first, and second, Gibson LPs this year.
They get a lot of my attention
I managed to get my first one in 2018 .
Then by the end of 2019 I was able to get a couple more, couldn’t believe it took so long ..
I got my goldtop in 2007, 30 years of waiting. Sometimes you gotta wait right Mitch?
I got my Standard Goldtop when I was a teenager. I had to work a summer job, then at the end of the summer, half of my earnings went to buy it. I knew I would have it forever, and when I became an adult I might not be able to justify such an expense.
Yes you do. I waited a long time for one, and yes I did have a few Epi’s but the Gibsons were allusive. And my Goldtop was the first..
Man I could only dream about that goldtop when I was a teenager!
