    Not a big LP fan but that is by far one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen!

    this is one of few guitars that ive seen pics of where the head stock pics
    speaks just as loud as the rest of the guitar. it was a must see pic lol.

    It is. Heavier than my newer ones, feels way more tha 8 lbs. I should weigh it again.

    Hey Jet... the " pancake body".... is that weird or strange or unique / specific to a certain year.? Got any history behind that or what do I know perhaps all LP's of a certain vintage were pancaked?

    Yep what @anitoli said. Not sure why, just how it was done. Don't know how long it continued.
    Thansk for all the compliments, lads! I am very happy with it.
    You can see some finish wear at the dividing line between both halves. Very little though for the vintage.

    That is beautiful.

    My next, and last (ive assured the wife), guitar will be a 1976 Standard, but I could make an exception for that. Always loved wine red.
