Thanks for your kind words guys. I've never met any of you, but I'm sure we would all be mates and have a laugh.

Hey Georgia. I echo the sentiments of all MF'rs concerning your much better half.
Love the space and the gear you got there is world class.
    I agree on the TASCAM.
I've got the Jr. model 8 track version. Great sounding, simple, straight forward, old school and looks good to boot!

The only thing I don't like about the Tascam is the WAV file format....easily converted to MP3 once exported to PC.

Nice space brother! I plan on building a 36x36x12 shop when I retire in 30 months for my studio. Go big or stay home right! Haha!

Geo , nice rehearsal studio . I remember back when we had the song writing contest on here. It was great fun.

Keep the faith , we might not be next door neighbors but we all have similar interest here. I hope you and yours the best .

I'm seriously jealous of that space...looks fab!
Making music can be such a help when dealing with tough times as you are. Hang in there.
Hope you don't mind my asking, but I also have that Tascam... currently using headphones for monitoring but I'm looking to get some monitor speakers. I'm interested to know which one's you are using and if they fit your requirements?
    Cheers and stay safe.

Nothing I can really add that hasn't been said, but the best of luck to you and the missus. Damn, that is a nice studio!

Wow what an awesome place. But I can't help but laugh - look at the guitar gear - then look at the keyboard rig, then the bass amp and the drums! Clearly the studio of a guitar player!!

    great pics and it's awesome!!!

Don't give it up man, keep your chin up and keep fighting. better days will come, I've survived a lot of shit in the past years and the good thing about bad times is they go away and they became a distant memory of something that made us stronger. Keep rocking!

Congrats on the studio, it looks fantastic. I feel for you and your better half, as I am a 10-year throat cancer survivor myself. While I have avoided recurrence, the radiation deemed necessary to keep me above ground has basically destroyed my jaw. The lower on one side has been rebuilt with some hipbone and veins from my ankle, and subsequent to that, the neck flesh had to be replaced with my pectoral muscle from my chest. It's pretty gnarly looking, so now I'm "that guy with the shemagh," but I don't wanna scare the kiddies, and we all do what we gotta.

Take care mate and rock on.

That's a great studio. Would love to have one. Gear porn is epic! Enjoy retirement and hopefully the pandemic will move on to the moon and allow peeps to use it like you planned.

    Take care G.

If my youngest daughter hadn't decided to learn to play piano, there wouldn't be a keyboard at all lol. Yeah the drum kit is a good solid "house" kit and I have a couple of Ashdown bass amps but basically, guitar is where it's at.

I'm using an Alesis Elevate 3 powered desktop monitor set. It's pretty perfect for what I want. My control room is only 2.5 metres square so they are plenty loud enough without distorting and can plug my Ipad or PC into it too, if I'm using the headphones for monitoring.
Small control room means easy to heat and everything to hand with a bit of forethought layout wise.
