Hi all - I have an essentially brand new JVM 410H - I'm not 100% on whether I can claim on the warranty though as I'm technically the second owner despite the amp being 3 months old!
Anyway - the problem:
If I compare the 410H to my Jubilee head - the Jubilee head has a fair amount of background noise on the lead channel, but it disappears completely if I turn the master volume to zero.
In contrast, my 410H is noisy from the moment it comes out of standby - I have turned all the volumes and gains to zero, and unplugged everything except the power cable and it still makes the fairly substantial hiss. I also tried putting a noise gate in the loop (full Wet) but makes no difference. Other than the noise the amp appears to function noisily.
Before I find out whether I can claim under warranty or perhaps get my local tech to have a look - is there anything simple I could try myself?
