I think Gibson is back in a huge way and the year to me looks very exciting both the USA line and the Custom Shop line up . Also seems to me a turn back the clock to a more sensible features for the guitars that we love minus the stupid bells and whistles that nobody wanted !

I agree. I do like some of the bells - you can just keep making the same 5 LPs forever, but you can also change the odd model. That new Modern looks like it will be on the website once available. A nice smooth heel joint sounds good ro me and I for one like the coil tap and direct bypass features on the modern. But they left the basic models alone. Nicely done I say.

I think if they started making some modern type Gibsons like a Explorer with a floyd (and some other appointments) I think that would be interesting to see. Not robot tuners.

I see one I missed earlier. Has the easy access neck joint I'd like to see. Plus this finish kills me!! Is it pricey? Yeah whatever. Hate to be the richest guy in the graveyard.

Damm brother I hated the gold on my 76 Explorer, but on the arctic white LP studio, I am going to let it be! Cheers Mitch

I was looking at an Explorer w/gold hardware the other day. I thought to myself, If only that had nickel hardware...

Between my grandson and I, we have 2 instruments with gold hardware, my studio, and a Jay Turser SG copy, which is also white, I am not going to change either one of them! Cheers Mitch
