Evening all, I'm in the market for a new amp, got £600 tops, so can go second hand for sure, i play heavy rock to old school metal and i love my pedals. I currently have a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100W, which I use for gigs and rehearsals and i love it. Im looking for something to use at home and smaller gigs, considering the Brent Hinds Orange Terror. Unless i hear something better, ,,

    Cheers

How about a DSL40CR or "C" (the older combo), or consider the DSL20HR? You'll be able to get similar tones to what you normally gig with.

A Peavey 5150 combo might fit the bill, depending on how quiet you need to be. They are a great value used.

Great suggestion, thanks, I've been considering the Ironheart, I have a 2x12 in the studio which I love, so will be getting a head.

Most people don't think about them but the little Mesa's with 25 / 35w are awesome! Very small but with good power, great sound, easy to take along and everything you need built in. 2 very settable channel's and a 5 band EQ, fantastic for small clubs and recording.

The Blackstar HT Club 50 Mark II - 50-watt head looks interesting. Its got power scaling so you can use it at any size gig or home.

Thinking about picking up one of these myself. I n Demos it seems to be an Orange Lunchbox amp with a little bit of Marshall upper-mids baked in. Accurate? How are you liking yours?

I had an Orange Thunderverb 50, sold it earlier this year, just sticking with Marshall for now. I suggest if you like the Marshall upper-mids get a Marshall, you wont find it in an Orange or any other brand.
