original quad of ‘66 T1221’s, original handles, tolex and grill.

It’s also rare in the the bottom still has tolex and no one has installed side handles!

EBC3C20C-1B0C-4011-9D51-F8D3EBC76D1D.jpeg I’ve shared some pics with @BygoneTones and he reckons it’s a ‘early 67 on the serial number, the speakers date from the 24th of November 1966 so they probably took a while to get sent to the factory/loaded into the cab

Yeah you can't really date cabs accurately by the serial but Nov 66 would be about right for that one. I had one once with Oct 66 speakers and the serial was 9***.

They did start finger jointing them at some point in early 67, and that one looks like a butt jointed cab. You can tell by the thinner wooden beams inside.

Late 66 / early 67 would be about right.

But it has got worn out handles and missing logo, dodgy old speakers too. I will take care of it for you, I do regret selling my pinstripe stack

If you’re ever London bound @neikeel feel free to spend some time with some of my cabs/heads, I was on the fence about selling it but @BygoneTones talked me down(tbf I didn’t need much persuading)

I have too many amps and too many cabs (or so I have been advised) already. I think you are due to come up to Suffolk first?

That is a work of art, and sooo clean. Wow, great score. And thanks for sharing :)

Hardly see one that original, but once every several years. I bet it sounds nice :)

Ironically enough I’ve not actually played it yet! I took the speakers out to test them, the wiring wasn’t stock wiring as well so once they are wired back in I’ll take lots of photos and stick em up here!

I had a look in my spares box and I had some vintage flex that had been used in a cab(long gone, I think it was a FAL 1x12)that I had hung onto, turns out it’s the right colour vintage flex, I’ve made a loom so I can wire the speakers in now and give it a blast !

And yes I am aware of how much a nerd this makes me!

    Reinstalled the speakers last night

I also glued all the loose tolex!

it just needs a logo and it’s good to go!

here are some better quality photos

interestingly enough the back panel screws are flat heads, they could be original as they are 2” steel, anyone else got these on their cabs(1974 aside obviously)?

Awesome cab. The job would be easier if you had a bigger screwdriver though.

that’s when it’s extended(cue even more bad jokes), yankee screwdrivers are great with cabs, it makes getting the baffle screws out really easy and your not going to strip out any heads from power tools!

That is guilt talking, but through my experiences say never enough, as the combinations are plentiful.
