Got a smokin' deal on one of these from a buddy and it showed up today. He bought it new, took excellent care of it, made me a great deal and even included two new preamp tubes just in case something happens with the ones in it anytime soon.

    It started life this way:

But I'm no fan of tweed, so I hit the hardware store and grabbed a few things and did this:

Sounds fantastic, but is a little thin in the bottom (at least run into my MSII 110 - definitely want to get a different cab for it), so I'm going to look into the depth mod. Meanwhile, I'll probably experiment with my MCR 10 band and the HX Stomp to see what I can do with it as is.

Anyone done the depth mod? Would love some better info on it than what I've been able to find online so far...

Thanks - makes it not look so grandpa's amp.

Always wondered if there was a connection there...

How long did it take you? Any chance you have more in-depth directions? I've never modded an amp before so I want to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing before I open her up. TIA!

great purchase man! I've bought a JCA20H a few weeks ago to mod it. the depth knob makes a huge difference in this amps. I'm going to do some mods from Epic mods very soon. they're already ordered.

oh nice. Thx for the pics.

where did you get the parts? TIA!

I ran an MXR 10-band eq into the FX loop and wow what a difference. All that high end Lightning sizzle plus all the bottom end Thunder. Can’t believe it took me so long to get one of these amps.

Thanks, added that to the shopping list. Want to get a dedicated cab for it first, so I don't have to swap cables around when I switch between it and my DSL1. Then, let the mods begin.

The pics is a scratch built rat box built out of left over parts . One thing I learned about the slo 100 it is not the same as the ether amps soldano made . That model is a striped down version of the slo 100 so a lot of mods aren’t in the circuit. You need a schematic for that amp

    Killer amp...my go-to for a quick grab-n-go with a 2x12

you should check out the BitMo mod...simple, easy, effective and rockin’...and definitely add the depth mod

I'm waiting for my epic mods... they're in customs here, I hope doing it soon. I bought the PX, EL34 , loop and cap mod. I have already done the depth knob.

Kindly asking your opinion as to why you chose the 34's over the 6v6's?
