I've always kinda wanted a 100w Marshall, but was never keen on having a huge amp head on a 4x half or full stack.
This 6101 & extension cab would blend in with my little 20watters.
I've asked for gut shots and if there's any mods - haven't heard back yet.
Anything I should be concerned with about getting this little bugger shipped over from Ireland to the states?

I have 4 6100's and all have been very reliable. The 6101 is identical except the chassis is smaller so they double stack the boards. Some are concerned about heat buildup in the combo setup, a small fan at the back will remedy that issue if necessary. The head in the ad was made during the transition period between EL34's and 6L6's/5881's, this is why it is labeled as " 30th Anniversary" From this they became the LM.

Thanks, I'm hoping for some shots like this.
It looks clean on the outside.
I'd like to make sure it's not hosed on the inside before having a chance to set hands on it.

The amp in that pic is an EL34 model that was untouched. It was sent in for some maintenance.

When I asked the seller for gut shots, it wasn't for me.
I don't know shit past swapping tubes and speakers.
I'm hoping someone smarter than me can take a look and see anything that says "walk away"...

I didn't want to call anyone out, but both of you guys came to mind when I was looking at this.
I've been to Pete's web site before, and I knew he's got a few 6100s.
I've been checking this one out since I first saw your 6101.
Filed my taxes yesterday and I have a refund coming that's flaming my GAS.

One of the thoughts that I've had was the main input power.
I'd assume that it would need some sort of conversion to US 110-120V.
This is a clip from another listing from Italy.
No good pic of the back in the listing I'm looking at.
Is it just a fuse swap?
Looks like a standard power cord socket.

Still waiting to hear from the seller.
If I pull the trigger on this, I'll PM you and probably just have it shipped direct to you for changes and a once over.
Thanks for the info and advice.

Seller wants to text me photos instead of posting to Reverb messages (no clue why), so we exchanged phone numbers.
Ireland just came off of a strict covid lockdown today, amp is at his shop, and he's hoping to send some pics tomorrow.

Not many mods to do to these amps, they are good as is and complicated. Excellent choice!!

No longer looking - in for a penny, in for a pound.
Now I have to wait for shipping and customs and such.
I asked the seller to pull the tubes and pack separate.
    Fingers crossed....

Just got a text from Ireland about the 6101, the seller said he had his "valve tech" give the amp a "check over, and all is well", whatever that means.
Supposed to be packed over the weekend for shipment.
I was looking at this photo and it seems to me that there's little if any flash left on these CVC EL34s
I'd like to keep them if possible, assuming that they survive the journey, and they are still functional.
A pair for sale on ebay says that CVC (Chelmer Valve Co) are made in England by Mullard? and are selling for $200 for the pair.
    Any opinions?
