Sweetwater charged zero to fix it.. Not sure if Dave charged SW to fix it though... Not sure how that works. He worked with the guys at Sweetwater where I bought it, to ensure I'd have it back in time for an upcoming gig. I didn't pay for any of the shipping whatsoever. It was still under warranty. I also do keep a fan on the amps during this heat. When it came back, it came with all the original tubes she had in her, so those must've tested fine.

Thankfully, after this weekends gig (when I put the DSL into service), we've all collectively agreed to ditch outdoor gigs in July/August. Simply not worth it

I think Sweetwater took care of all the shipping due to the ridiculous amounts of money my band spends with them not just on guitars & amps, but basses, drums, PA, mixing boards, lights, blah blah... So not sure if they made an exception. I actually just came across the repair sheet on my work bench not too long ago, but not sure if I threw it away since I no longer have the thing. I'll try to take a photo of it if I still have it in the garage

We were in Hilton Head last week for vacation. Been there and Savanna, GA many times and don’t ever remember it being that hot and uncomfortable. Had to limit time at the beach as we felt like we’re were literally baking (limit beach time - rough, I know).

When i was a kid in the 60's & 70's the weather was much more stable.
Weather patterns now are all screwed up due to Climate issues.
Cheap Trick got alot of stuff destroyed a few years ago in a storm in Wisconsin that came out of nowhere.
Alot of these are bad storms where people get hurt.
Zanders 50's LP Junior had a broken neck. Rick Neilson lost some guitars.
I saw friends of mine playing show here in the rain on the 4th.
I didn't envy them at all.

There's something to be said about playing indoors :)

It was freaking brutal. Was hallucinating seeing dead relatives with me on stage, haha
