I've been tone hunting for some time now as far as it comes to amps. It's been a struggle honestly. I only play out about once a month now, so my goal was something portable. I play rock, and only need high gain a couple times in a set for covers. I tried the DSL40c and I still have the DSL401. I've tried other amps as well. The only amp I played that I really liked was the BluesBreaker and the 1974X. I found them to be similar. These are my dream amps, and I've never really was impressed with anything else. Yes, I had the JVM, but it's honestly too much amp for me today (right tools for the job, and all that). So anyway, I decided to sell one of my LP's to fund an amp.sure enough the same day someone replied and I got this... The Class 5 was an appetizer, but now I'm really happy. I finally got the gigging amp I want and not just one I could only afford. I should have spent less time buying guitars and more time saving so I could have got this amp earlier. Anyway I'm going to go play and try to make some clips.
