Either y'all don't want to tell me I suck, or it's not bad and you don't have it in you to say that.
Have some balls and tell me it suck if it sucks. I'm gonna have to start passing out mineral water soon.

    :p

    Loved your version @Sapient.

I gave you an 8 (with Ozzy being a 10 of course).

    Keep it up.

BTW The backing track. Yours or off-the-shelf?

Not bad at all, I'd say. Ozzy is not a perfect Singer, but he has lots of Character and Attitude, and that is definitely what you have captured here.
There's room for improvement, of course. But a song like this is where your voice really fits. You might not have flawless technique or pitch, but you bring the emotions.

I didnt like it and the song sucks. You need a better song choice but I don't know what that is.

I take it back it sounds alot better on my PC than my phone, I still dont like the song choice, closest thing I can think of is do a Johnny Cash song, but that might not even be right either.

I don't recall ever hearing the original. But, of course, I know Ozzy's voice. I liked it. Sounds perfectly in key.

Now just smoke 5 packs a cigarettes a day to get a little more grit. :erk:

I expected to get cringed away, but
it was not bad at all.:applause:

Maybe try Junior's Eyes, either the Ozzy or
Dave Walker way, or mixed up a little.

Music isn’t a race or a contest, screw ‘ratings’. I like the song and I did enjoy it—good for you working on it and having the stones to share here. Big giant :yesway:

Thanks again, you guys. I just do this once in a while here since I just started singing back in August.
I had 0 pitch then. It's gotten a lot better where at least I'm on more than I am off. Lol.

Sorry, to bother you with a "rate me" thread - it's not for glorification believe me,
it's more "am I on track" since I'm again ....new. Thanks for playing along and I do hope you
do find general fun and entertainment in of it.

It's gotta be at least a little suspenseful not knowing what's in the bag I'd think. Lol

You'll probably get better results by handing out mineral 'spirits' in this group... :)...

not bad, but the key is weird...

Ozzy, when he sang it, is in his upper range, this seems like you're in your mid-range, never going into the upper register, which is where Ozzy gets his more emotive expression.

overall, your technique is getting better. I still hear slurring & sliding at places, but, for the most part, you're on track of just singing the notes. Definitely a big improvement from where you started...

Thanks Doom. Appreciate the post, bro!

You may be right; however they guys that have partaken I really appreciate it.
In general I know "interactive" threads are a little slow here. Lol.

It's so funny you say that because I had recorded it 3 times in the upper register. I decided once, I'd throw up something different because I don't record much with more "body" in the voice. So, I did one more and that was it. Lol. I know what you mean - I was focused nearly top of my head at first.

I know for sure there is sliding in the chorus. This is because I have a tough time jumping the notes - there's a couple biggies. There could be in the verses too but they were redone because I was noticing the sliding - they are fairly easy to sing so I was getting sloppey not doing "robot voice" (Dooms been helping me out here and there).

The last recording I tried to avoid sliding during the verses anyway.

Again, thanks Doom. Again, these things wouldn't have dawned on me, or at least have become full thoughts if you didn't point the stuff out. It's the reason things are being done ...when they are being done. At least it's far more frequent.

    Thanks, Dogs of Doom!
    :h5:

    Oh ...the key! hahaha
I started doing that a few days ago and my voice was a little screwed. I used a pitch shift plug on the back track and just slid it down a little. I think the key is ~1/2 step down at ~C#.

Yesterday, the day I did this, I meant to bump it back up but I actually just forgot about it. I could have it I'm pretty sure.

    Hi Mr S

Well I could not beat that. I think you have a unique voice which is always good and mostly you stay in tune.

You do not let go. By that I mean like you might in the car on your own.

Your voice and skills are absolutely worth developing. Well done.

I might upload one of mine that will make you smile.

Thanks for sharing, that is what makes this forum great.

I can't offer any criticism of singing ability. My own singing sounds like frogs being beat to death with a squeaky toy. I have some useful talents and skills but I don't have a singing voice and that's that. If I try to sing in the shower, the shower tells me to shut the hell up.

So to me you sound great! I can stand to listen to you!

Every Man must regain his voice.

I like every effort of people train
their vocalapparatus, its a sign of maturity.

Thanks, brother! I agree that these are the things that made forums really cool in the past.
All the interactive sort of stuff. People throwing up their jams, competitions, you name it.
    Was a different time.

Hmmmm ...something tells me you can really belt out. That's sweet! One day ...one day...
