You should total up the whole collection, you may need to update your homeowners insurance.

Supply and demand. Covid has been horrible to the live music scene and great for music retailers.
I'm waiting to see how many bargains there will be to pick up once normalcy returns to the world
Most will probably be to the lower and mid end of the market but that's fine with me, mid market are usually upgrades for me

I'm surprised at the greedy vintage gear inflation.

Every time I do research on prices, I amazed.

Before this covid thing, I gigged at least once a week.

    Sometimes 3x.

    Maybe it's a reset.

My finger tips are extremely sensitive because of this cancer maintenance thing.

I'm finding that .009 gauge strings are better for me.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back and buy all those 50's and early 60's ES 335's that I turned down.

Early 60's SG/LP Std offered to me for $200.00 in 1969.

Hey, I can buy a new SG Std for $215.00.

    "You're trying to screw me".

    I'm smart.

Prices probably won't be coming back down.

In 2019 there were approx 1.5 trillion US Dollars in circulation. In early 2020 the gov't snapped its fingers and magically created 2 trillion new Dollars out of thin air and gave them away to businesses and citizens. They're about to wave their magic wand again to create another new trillion Dollars (give or take a few hundred billion).

There are no free lunches. Increasing a fiat money supply without any hard backing decreases the value of money. It's not that things are worth more now, it's that dollars aren't worth as much.

It's a very real possibility that we're going to experience Weimar Republic style hyperinflation in the near future. People rolling wheelbarrows full of near-worthless paper money to the store to buy a single loaf of bread.

... still, you're lucky... here in Sweden, real vintage juniors are a rare as hens teeth...I nearly bought a -56 about 10 times, when I was 16 back in -88... then one day, it was gone and I've been kicking myself ever since... and through all those years I've only seen one more in real life and that one was not for sale.... even getting a new one nowadays has proven hard...I ordered one in June but gibson closed down due to Corona then canceled all orders. Now that they are up and running, Sweden is NOT a prioritised market and I'm still waiting...
I could have ordered one from thomann, but I want to support my local store... before it's gone..
