That was bad a**..and I aint kidding either.. The Guitar work was Incredible and the Vocals..well, the Vocals speak for itself..Great work Aus..Great work RT.. Merry Christmas...LIKE..
the only thing I would say is,comparing it to the original, the electric guitar needs more 'verb to glue it together more. Michale Wagenener really drenched that album.
That mix worked for that time, but our mix rocks the ages! I was working on another mix today. Trying a few things with the lead guitar track.
Thousand of miles a way and putting together stuff like this. I think it's awesome. Good job boyz. Love me some Dokken.
when you really get into the production side it's kinda amazing comparing the differences between 80's metal,60's surf music,& modern (Adele) vocals, yet, we're using basically the same reverb "settings" but the differences in sound when comparing "instruments" or overall mix makes it sound totally different
Yeah Reverb is coming back, and its a fine art to understand reverbs well. I've got a lot to learn, if I want to master the art and Delays and Reverbs. It might be easier to just get the laptop and record in a church. My friend, a pro producer, used to cringe at my mixes a year ago, because I used to over do it with the reverb. I've got the old reverb racks sitting here and could have used them, and maybe will even record the vocals again at a later date. We did this and it is what it is. I like the wide space in this mix. I could have closed it in and make the drums sound like they're over processed and maybe even will one day, but today this is the mix. I'll be uploading another version of the song where Michael added some delay to his lead track, and I spent more time getting it to sound more like it should.
Very well done lads. I actually really like the bite of the guitar tone and your vocals are top notch Louis. Maybe bring the bass guitar up a little to give that great guitar tone some extra thump? You guys should get together via the airwaves and do some original material....I would buy it for starters.
Lol, just do what the kiddos do in this day and age (2015) and post it on YouTube. Nevermind YouTube's sound compression, that's the best way to get discovered IMO. Would you ever consider sharing your DAW project files? I'd completely understand if you'd rather not, but I thought it'd be great to understand how you mixed each track into the final production, especially for a beginner like myself.
im not as intimately familiar with the track as many others, but of course ive heard it a few times. sounds excellent across the board to me guys.
the thing about that is, (sharing project files) if you dont possess the same plug ins used on the project, youll only have a fragmented picture.
sorry but apple computers do lots of editing of the internet before I get to see it. so I can't see these HOT clips! it's not important I see them anyway, you guys are well on your way it seems. just make sure you put some pop princess's name in the title of your Youtube list. you'll get a million people who'll watch just cause they'll think she might be in the clip.
Nice job guys.Lot's of talent on both ends. Not too many people can play guitar that well, and certainly very few people can sing like that.I think a Zep tune would be right for you guys.
Not familiar with the original and not my usual cup of tea but I thought it was excellent, well done!
