some guy, a street performer, got his drum set stolen. They never found the drums, or thieves.

Metallica heard of the story & gifted the guy a drum set...

kudos to them!
Did something similar for a tribute band up this way a few years back. They're called "Blistered Earth" and they actually do a pretty decent act.
Metallica seems like a bunch of cool dudes sometimes.

Looked like he was short changed.

*edit - Sorry - looks as though, though.

any time someone steals from you, you are short changed...

The guys in Metallica owe nobody anything. At least they got him a kit that got him going again. He could have no set...

(Imagine the "likes" you will get on that. ;))

I smell a Lars ...and that's never good.

No, I can see your point - for Met to analyze deep into every nuance of his set would kinda be overkill. This gives him some responsibility to build again to what he had if he chooses to do so. (steal them himself again. Lol)

Yea, probably a little bit. The good deed to me is that Doom posted it for good nature to the board.
I get stuck in my little ...things. As I mentioned, it's cool Metallica did that, yes.

I was just expecting some snickers on the "short change" comment. Wasn't too serious to Grinch degree. Lol.
