:sadwave:

I have 6 other Ovation guitars.

IMO, they're not the best sounding acoustic guitars but they work extremely well in a plug in and play live setting.

For studio work, I rely on a Gibson J 185; Gibson L 20 Koa; Martin OOO and Guild JF 30 6 and 12 string.

Cool...I bet no one said to turn down the volune or complained about anything...LOL!

It's a weird gig.

I'm playing to the families of the dead..............so I have to be very respectful and on.

The audience is nice and quiet.

I can't be a goofball and do "Peter Gunn" or "Ozzy" sequays.

It's a focused serious gig.

Very little smiling.

It's a joy to play with Jaimie.

Jaimie (at the beginning and quietly) was showing me some Steve Howe and Jorma fingerstyles.

I was showing him some different chords and licks that I discovered.

He's a very smart player.

The yellow horn rimmed glasses were an early christmas present?

What song did you play?

No.

i bought those at a Dollar Tree Store.

They're 2.5 strength.

I didn't want to spend a few hundred $'s on a presciption pair since I had cataract surgery.

Christmas songs for the families in attendance..................

Silent Night.

People Look East.

Creator of the Stars at Night.

O Come O Come Emmanuel.

A few other Christian songs.

By the way, was that blonde there while you were performing or is she an apparition that showed up in the photo?

Hey Axe, wierd mausoleum story.. After a practice late one night in the early / mid 70s. The other guitarist's sister said it's really cool to go this mausoleum in this good size city's grave yard at night. Sure, why not, what do kids do. They had this idea that everyone was to go into it alone, it was a fall night iirc. We all went through it with a bic lighter, no big deal.

I was on the back of a buddy's bonneville we toured the yard roads and when coming back the kids were outside of the mausoleum. We both noticed a light moving around on the inside on the way back through one of the side windows. When we pulled up I asked who was on the inside.. They said no one. Well two of us saw it, thought it might be a good time to leave. True story, I have a couple others for another day.

So, maybe, possibly you had an audience .. ;)

My dad used to own a funeral parlor, and I can tell you some stories.

Probably a good decision leaving ‘Dust In The Wind’ off the list.
