Marshall vs 100

    i have a marshall vs100 combo i wanna add a speaker cab extention if i do this will it drop the ohms to 4 or double to 8. The internal speaker is 8ohms and so is the extention cab

    Thank you. Im guessing you know it has 2 outputs on the back. I did try plugging another speaker in a while a ago and there was a big volume drop like it was going to 16ohms. I have been offered a swap for my amp for a 100 dfx head but a few people have said dont do it the vs100 will have a better tone

    Welcome to the forum
    You should be fine at the 4 ohms the amp sees , my Avt50h’s where always ran with 2 8 ohm MG cabs.
