A buddy of mine gave me a steal of a deal on a DSL 15H. Im going to run it with my Peavey 5150 4x12 cab. It's been a few years since i've owned aMarshall, I owned a lot of the classics, some Jubilees & 800s,, original Valvestate, SL-5 , JTM-30 etc. So I'm really excited at getting back into Marshall tone. Hopefully the DSL 15 won't disappoint!

Yes indeed! The CLASSIC GAIN channel on a DSL15 with both the gain and volume floored really gives up the goods. Too bad Marshall did not see fit to put reverb or even a loop in the DSL15H. So easy and cheap to do and so silly to not do! While the DSL15 can be very cool, the DSL20CR or H kicks the 15 to the curb.

The amp is a little monster!! Sounds great! My buddy had put a different tube in the V1 spot to tame the gain channel. I don't know what it sounded before this little mod, but it sounds great to me now.

Here's a photo of my rig. Believe it or not, the rig in the picture only cost me $200! My brother gave me the 87 SG Specal, and a buddy gave me the 5150 cab, I bought the DSL15 for $200. (Not pictured is my 2011 Les Paul Junior, Epi Les Paul , and various pedals)

Fantastic "little" rig right there! That's a fabulous looking SG. No binding on the fretboard, nice, just how I like my Gibsons!
    Bet It Sounds Great! Enjoy!

I couldn't help looking again at that SG! I'm a sucker for off white/cream colored guitars! :fever: It's odd/interesting that for such a lower priced model of guitar, it appears to have gold hardware? Sorry to obsess, but that seems to be a very unique and unusual guitar! I've searched to the end of the innernest and only found one seemingly similar guitar. I can't tell for sure from the pic, as it cuts off the bottom of the guitar, but can I assume it has three knobs, switch and jack on it's face? Very VERY cool and certainly a keeper, especially as gifted from a family member. More pics of it would be well appreciated! :dude:

Yes, gold hardware, ebony fretboard, and you're right! Three knobs. I believe pickups are Shaws. 91E80B5F-FCDF-4C8E-BE3D-ABF3E404BAB3.jpeg 5671358611.jpg
