Hi everyone. I have a Marshall Origin 50 head. I want to plug it into my 4x12 16ohm origin straight cab from the 16 ohm output and also run my Origin 2x12 8ohm cab from the 8 ohm output on the head. Can I run both at the same time?

Also, is there a way to run two Origin 4x12 cabs that are 16 ohms at the same time?

Thanks. That is what I needed to know. So that would be 1 16ohm cab plugged into each of the 8 ohm jacks? I can’t daisy chain them as there is just one input and no out on the 4x12 cab.

Welcome to the forum!! It's a great place.

Just to clarify a little more on these amps.
You will actually be plugging the 2 16 Ohm cabs into the 2x16 Ohm inputs as marked (middle and right jacks). This is a pic of the back of my 20H but the 50 is the same. From my understanding these amps only actually have 1 8 ohm jack and it's labeled as such. So when you hook up a single 8 ohm cab you use the jack in the middle labeled 8 ohm underneath. If you use only one single 16 Ohm cab then you use the one off to the left marked 16 ohm. You don't want to try and use an 8 and a 16 together. I run my 20H on 2 1X12 16 ohm cabs plugged into the 2x16 ohm jacks. I've also ran it on my 8 ohm 4x12 when I 1st got it for a couple-few months.

Yup, what Edgar said here ^

Also @3bolt79, some Marshall amps can run a 16 ohm cab and an 8 ohm cab. The Studio line for example, they have the speaker outputs in a such a way that allows that to be done.
