Just bought an AVT50 Tribute for great price, even though I have an AVT standard, but when its cheap enough you dont need excuse. Nice looking amp. Seems to be an anomaly though, its 2009 built, I thought they finished in 2007, and has reverb tank, I thought they had digital by that stage. Still want to change speaker, the 4ohm are a pain, I have lots of 8ohm speakers but wanna keep the 50w of power, so will see what in 4ohm range. Fun amp.

The Celestion 'Hot 100' G12T-100 Is purported (by Celestion) to be excellent for hybrid SS amps, and would give you enough headroom to run flat out.
I use two of them connected to my Valvestate VS65R, and they are available in 4 ohm.
    Underrated but I love 'em.

If it’s anything like mine was, I would just hook up 2 8ohm cabs to equal a 4 ohm load !!
    Cheers

    Yup!
That is basically what I've done with mine too @Mitchell Pearrow.
I had one 16 ohm G12T-100 from a previous amp, so I bought another.
Then I installed one in my 8 ohm VS65R, and put the other in a 1912 cab.
The VS65R has only one 8 ohm speaker connection coming from the chassis (i.e. no speaker jack).
So when I 'jump' a speaker lead off the secondary tabs on the combo speaker to the 1912 cab, they are in parallel (= 8 ohms).

Interesting, I was looking at getting one for Code 100C I have, wanted to make smaller cab, like the Code 50C and put that in there.
