Probably true on your side of the pond, but here in Europe, Marshall is pretty much mid prised, comparable to peavey's and fenders.. to us, Mesa's, matchless and friedmann's is out of reach.... EDIT: I wonder if perhaps, now that Brexit is done, if the coming tolls on British goods going into EU could end up breaking their back...
My only quibble with the Origin series was that the master volume seems to be pre-phase inverter. If they revamped the series with a post-phase inverter master volume, it would be a home run.
I second JMD:2. The latest CODE modelling married to a classic Marshall EL34 poweramp (ECC83 PI inc.) Has to be a winner. I don't think the world was ready for JMD:1 when it came out.
According to my sources they're not planning to release any new amps this year. That could change later on but for now they're shelving everything until 2022 when we can hopefully have an in person NAMM show.
Where did you hear this? Hand wired -depends on what you mean. But with a turret board would be very difficult considering the amount of components and the type of components used in that amp. I call BS.
Fender releases 2 amp reissues Custom Pro and the Vibro champ Silver face and some new guitars they always keep things fresh! Waiting on Marshall I know things are shut down but its been years. Hope its worth the wait.
Don’t think Marshall will do a JMD:2, I’ve had a jmd:1 with footswitch on CL for 6 months for $400. Can’t give the thing away. Lol.
One thing they should “fix” is that 10” speaker in Studio series. And, as I love small amps, would be nice to see Studio series growing up. Bluesbreaker/JTM45 would be nice! And maybe they could work on new attenuators as TAE or OX.... As they have the 1987x I can’t see why not a 2204x, also in combo version again. \o/
An update to the JVM series would be nice. They could take some of the lessons learned from the Satriani model and also do something about that damned fx loop that causes many people headaches
⁰00000⁰ ...20 watt Jvm Satriani Studio series with all the features of the HJS with 3 channels ( with three modes), midi, and noise gates.
I agree, all the bases are covered. Anything one might wish for beyond what's already available is seriously just nit-picking.
