Hey everyone! I just wanted to start a quick poll....
I am able to get one of these cabinets mentioned in the thread.
What do you think of those and would you prefer the straight or the slanted version? :naughty:
What would be a resonable price?

Thank you very much in advance!

Cheers

I have both, and prefer the B (straight) cab (in fairness, I prefer straight cabs overall).

I have no clue as to a reasonable price, but I do know they've gone up in price over the years since I bought mine.

Great sounding cabs and look really cool :yesway:

Still, both have been tucked away since I acquired the 1936 ... might be time to bust them out again! Then again, I'm loving the 1936 so much that maybe I won't

Thank you very much @crossroadsnyc !
I already got the standard 1960 with G12T-75 speakers as the slanted version.
I tried the same one as a straight version in a studio and it felt like it had more low-end and push.

The difficulty is, that the slanted version looks as new while the straight one has the Tolex damaged at the back.
Price for each would be somewhere around 450 bucks.

Man, at that price I'd be snapping up both of them!

If you can swing it, I agree with @Kim Lucky Day ... you couldn't buy a single new one for the price of both, so that's a pretty smoking deal!

If you're only going to get one, honestly, I'd just go for the one you like the looks of the most and are the most excited to play through. I don't notice enough difference between either to make a choice based on tone (it's pretty negligible), so for me it's really a matter of looks (plus I like the extra real estate on the top of a B cab ... especially w/my YJM).

Funny aside, but after I responded to this thread earlier, I went to take a look at my two HW cabs, and noticed that the grill cloth on my B cab has faded more (it's a couple shades darker) ... which means it's time to bust out the A cab to try and even them up a bit! Really, I love both, so you won't make a bad decision either way you go.

Are you planning on keeping the 1960 w/the 75's? I'd keep it if I were you.

Any questions left?
So right know the question is....the guy also sells a Marshall 1959HW Head.
You can get it new for 1850€ here and he´s selling it for 1250€.
It looks like out of the box but its already 12 years old.
What do you think?

1959HW/1960AHW/1960BHW full stack for € 2150? If the seller got them in an honest way, I would find it difficult to resist.

I know what you mean @BlueX ! But he told me, he will only sell this one cab because he needs one for his Kemper......
I think 1250 bucks for the amp is a fair price but I dont know if I should really get it :erk:
I would use it for Blackmore-Tone so it´s pretty much a good start....on the other hand I can already feel the hearing loss :agreed:
