Yea diggin my original as well...I wonder if it would work in the Bugera...you got a Bugera plexi thingy don't ya?..I think the Bugera's have the reversed cathode follower, like the reissue Marshalls. Does the sc use the same unit as the 2203x? The x's are wired reversed compared to the originals. You should ask David if it would work in the Booger...boom hundy watter.

Soon as I can. It responds nicely to guitar volume and tone knob adjustments. Finding my low to mid gain saturation onto full burn and it sounds like Lynch. Especially into the 800. That was using my DiMarzio SD's. There is some added hiss but I'm ok with the level considering the tone mix. I've had way more with pedals and Noise gate would easily quiet it. The Mod pot I have at 1pm. Deep switch off. Very healthy amount of defined saturation. Then roll off at guitar for a few great variations, whatever you can pull off. It sounds/feels great to me.

I've got the 800's master at around 3:30pm preamp about noon thirty. So background noise happens.

    George and David done good.:agreed:

I was looking at David's info and it looks like the non Infinium model and I have the Infiniums. I don't know for sure.

    The SC is standard wired.

For sure. I can't imagine that being a disappointment course I'm Plexi biased.

It warms the 800 up yet you still get definition and bite, not mush.

    Definitely less twangy.

I wonder what it'd do to an Origin...

But, people usually buy Ori's because they are cheap amp's. This thing will cost more than ½ the amp...

It'd be worth it, if it pushes it over the top.

Well I asked David if it would work with the ORI50 and he said go ahead and try. Said it won't damage anything. It will either connect or not. So I'm thinking I try it out. :agreed:

Also I'm finding my Origin 50 to be like uh big ole fuzz box, totally unapologizing Marshall. It's brash. it's wooley. I keep having to play it man I can't help myself. I'll give it a go this weekend see how it mixes.

I saw a guy's vid of using 2 Friedman pedals, Golden Pearl and the Buxom Boost. dude could really play but man those pedals sounded good with the Ori.

@David Szabados, any idea when the module will be available for the studio series again? I couldn't find a link or waitlist to order one of those. Thanks!

Keep us posted Solar, I want to try this out too. I have the standard version so I'm not sure if its wired right.

The deep boost really worked great with my PAF and this cutting Marshall. I used it to fill in around the bite. No amp tone stack changes. The power chords punch is fun. Especially E galloping. Full and chunky. Some of those E chord variations getting that low-end meat/grunt with the 800 sound so close to Lynch's sound whether he's using a Marshall or the SLO 100. It's funny to hear that "wicked sensation". I'm not trying to get GL tones either. They just happen.

There really are quite a few ways to set amp gain vs module gain. How the 2 react with each other.

Mine didn't work on the Origin 50H. My LM is the standard wiring.

The new version of the Hot Mod V2 is coming Tuesday of next week. It’s going to be called the HOT MOD V2 EVO since it’s the evolution of the design. Made it based on requests from customers who said two things:1 give an option to cut bass and tighten low end, and 2: make it less expensive.

I addressed those both by adding a bass boost/cut switch (works just like the Lynch Mod Deep switch) and it’s designed on a PCB so labor time is reduced so I can offer it for $199 rather than $249 from the original HMV2 with Hot Switch.

Just waiting to get the first batch back from the screen printers. Here’s a view of one below without any lettering just getting ready. Super excited about this one. I have a email notification list for anyone interested [email protected] or just go to the site on Tuesday. It will still be 2-4 weeks on shipping depending on orders that come in since they need to be wired standard or reverse depending on the orders themselves..

    I confirmed with Marshall
No, that device is completely different. I worked with both Andy Marshall as my co-designer as well as Mike Soldano. Cameron’s is a master volume plug-in into V2 that adds some diode clipping in Jose style fashion for additional gain. Cool device but his own thing and different approach. I don’t know if and when it will ever come out.

I confirmed with Marshall that the Origin cathode follower is reverse. Still need to do some testing and look at the power supply specs, etc before seeing if it’s compatible with that model though.
