Nah, just got to thinking about something the other day. I found myself favoring baseball bat necks over thin little matchstick necks a few years back, thought that maybe I had some giant hands or something, but by the looks of it, my hands aren't any larger than anyone else's here.
I've always been self conscious of my big hands (and extra long arms) since they are larger than average for someone my size. This thread is not helping me feel any more normal or less freakish. Thank you science experiment.
My home builds are Chinese eBay necks that feel like a baseball bat sliced down the middle. Never really bothered me. I think the other side of the neck (fretboard and string action) is way more important to me as far as playability.
Hand stretch 9.5", more important finger tips from little to forefinger is 6.125". No EJ alien fingers here. Favoring narrow soft C necks these days. Hard to do a thumb over on the baseball bat necks. The Traditional and Firebird is a bit of a work out. Right at home on the Parker.
Right, it jus looks that way...its a ring with my name on it, l turned it to the side and the chair is skwishin it. But good eye, l think...heres a cookie
