I'm looking to get a JVM410 in the next month or so. Was originally thinking just the head as I have a 1936 to pair it with, but then I was thinking that if i get the combo, it potentially gives me more options, as in combo for small venues, or stacked on the 1936 for bigger venues.

However, looking at the combo, it's set to run at 16ohm through the internal speakers, and my 1936 is 8ohm mono. When I look at the rear panel of the 410C, I can't work out a way of making it work.

Has anyone else encountered this before and is there a workaround?

JVMs have a feature that will let you do this. At the back, you have sockets for 4, 8 and 16 ohms? (check)

If so, using different Ohms for cab and internals, you plug the 16Ohm internal speakers into the 8Ohm tap and the 8Ohm cab into the 4Ohm tap. Each set provide 1/2 the load that the amp wants, and all speakers get the same power through them.

This useful feature was first explained to us on this forum by Santial, who designed these amps at Marshall.
