Never seen this one ~ Super clean with Drake iron. The description says KT88's when it looks like KT66's.

I had a very similar condition Block Logo JTM45 with original Drake Iron # 11xx on Reverb a year ago. It sat on Reverb for a year before it sold.

Almost too clean, right down to the yellow lacquer.

Very similar to my 65 (I've bored you all with pics of it before!)
The heater wires look thicker than mine but it actually looks original.
Can't tell if the lamp is replaced and one of the PI output couplers as a funky date code.
Otherwise it is a beautiful (if expensive asking price) amp.
Mines not going anywhere (well if someone offered me that much I might be tempted) but it is very steep.

Does yours have that rare "pebble" tolex that was used for very short time?

Damn. It always amazes me how something that old can still look that clean. It would be interesting to know the story behind this one. It looks like it was either well loved and taken care of, or not well loved—and forgotten about and let sit for 50 years.

The caps and the board don’t look to have the usual markings from heat as you’d get with typical usage. I’d guess it was a forgotten closet find. Anyway it must have been from somewhere with zero humidity for the steel parts to look like that after decades.

No. This has the stuff they used between the smooth and the green / black levant.
That’s interesting. Seems mine is the same the one in the reverb add.
I’ve also attached a picture of the tolex from my JTM45 script logo.

Is the tolex on the block logo the “one in between” as per the above?

The ad says it’s 45 watts. Is it 45 watts?

Not to my knowledge. Should be 30w-38w. Might be 45w cranked.

George at Metropoulos says his GMP45s are tested at 38w. His were the Drake Transformer repros, and KT66s

I believe the earlier original Radiospares amps were rated at 30w.

They both look like the later green/black. The in between has a faint round pebble pattern.

Agree with Neil this is a proper almost textbook example of the year. Lovely. Notice the amber seal on the turrets is untouched.
