I'm retrograding my 1960A back to its original Ipswich T75s, but will need to find another speaker for my 1x12 closed-back as I am currently using one of the T75s in it. (Ofcourse there is always the option to try out a new X pattern incorporating the T75, so I will not rule that out, yet for now I want to try out only one first.) After much looking into options from Celestion, EV, Eminence, among others, I think I will give Jensen a shot. So far I am undecided upon the Jet Raptor and the Jet Nighthawk. There are not many videos/sound clips out there, so I would like to know if anyone has tried one out who could shed some light upon the character/tone.
Let's hear your thought on the Celestions and what you're missing. I had a Jensen C12N in a 1x12 combo cab that sounded great, but couldn't handle the 50 Marshall watts!
Hmmm...nothing I read in this thread answers my question...but I hope you get the answers you're looking for. I guess you switched back to the T75's because the H75's were too "awesome." Or maybe just plain "crappy."
