Get her in the 4X4 and find a nice bumpy road!
I might send out a few
Btw., I think today marks the first REAL contractions … it looks like the ones for the last week were 'false' contractions, as the ones today are causing her some actual pain … if that's the case, it might not be too long from now (next couple / few days?). Thank God for the forum so I can keep myself a little distracted while we're on the countdown.
Lol, we joked about that, but the truck is still up north!
It's a Girl guitar picks.
it's like waiting for that FedEx truck! ...
ahem...well, you know,.....they say that intercourse can help induce....
Yup, the doctor mentioned that (as did my Mom, which was kinda awkward), but we talked about it, and I can't help but feel it's a little late in the game for that right now. Not sure why, but it just kinda makes me feel weird. Though, in fairness to her, she still looks incredible, so that's not a dig in any way.
Just dont poke the little ones eyes out...lol!!!!
Good luck with everything!!!!
I know what you mean, exactly.
Well, my mom didn't talk to me about it but yeah lol
Well, today is our expected delivery date, and yes, I think today is the day. Starting at 5:30am, she's been having contractions every 20-30 minutes, so I think we're officially in the early labor stage. My Mom was telling us last night that she and my Dad had pizza the night before I was born, so we thought that might be a good luck charm … looks like it might have been! Any prayers you guys can send her and our daughters way would be very much appreciated! I'll keep you guys as up to date with things as I can as the day progresses, but if I disappear, then God willing, the next time I'm back on will be as a Dad (holy smokes!).
Best wishes to you, momma and baby - do stay out of unmedicated arms reach - especially fingers!
My kid is the greatest gift I ever had the privilege to receive. Suck up every moment - don't spend to much !!*&#! time BEHIND the camera - enjoy the giggles coos tears shit sleepless nights and the 6AM energizer bunny waking you up every morning. It's all awesome.
I was teasing my 19 year old son that I was really looking forward to playing with all of the Thomas the Tank Engine and Legos I have stashed... But no real rush.
I remember when my Son was born - after all the excitement, doctors, family, people running around... At the end of it all, we were completely drained, and I kind of crashed out next to my wife. And then my Son started crying... Wait - How come he is making all that noise? Doesn't he just go to sleep like the rest of us now? Doesn't he know how tired we are? Now 12, I like to wake him up early on the weekends as a little payback. HA!
Fingers crossed, today is the day!
Waking up this morning was pretty startling (hell, it took me 30 seconds to realize i wasn't dreaming and what was happening was actually real), so I guess I'm going to have to get use to it for a while!
The umbilical cord feels similar to a slippery leather belt when you try to cut through it. The first one I did startled me greatly; partly because I had just witnessed my wife's vagina do something rather disgusting and beautiful all at once, the second one I had my shit under control and it was easy.
I only wish doc could have thrown in a daddy stitch or two afterward...
Ha! I hear those cost extra!
In retrospect, it would have been well worth it; dat pussay is #rekt
I might get some backlash on this, but I opted not to cut the cord when we had to fill out the questionnaire on how we'd like things to go. I can totally see the appeal as to why someone would, but I don't think I'd have the stomach for it. I still haven't even decided if I want to watch her come out (same reasons), but I'm thinking I might try to force myself through that one just for the experience of seeing her first gasp of air.
I'm totally with ya brother... I stayed on the opposite end the whole time. Somethings are better left to the imagination.
