How did we fall so far in a discussion about Marshall to land on @SonVolt 's breathing balls?!?

I'd like to see Marshall refine their product offerings a bit [less amp models covering the same ground] and use their engineering and design talents to innovate like they have across the last 50+ years. Can you imagine a 20-30lb SLP fire breathing dragon with power scaling or output options like the UA OX? I can. How about a truly engineered speaker cab that gets into the 4x12 world sonically with a smaller form factor and weight? I can.

I happen to really like my dsl100h and jvm205.

Whatever they do, I just hope they keep jvm going. Imo, it' one of they'r flagship models. I always love what comes out of cab when I turn it on.

I agree....a Vietnam made YJM with power scaling!!!! If Bugera can do it....then why not Marshall??? Heck, Marshall could just buy Bugera 1960s and just repaint the chassis and exchange that burgundy front with black and put a Marshall logo on it and make a bunch of $$$$$$$$$$$$.

They should change the name from boy scouts to wolf scouts as in "wolf in the hen house". Why would you want your girl in the boy scouts is beyond me. Now you got your girl with horny boys AND men scout leaders.! Hell, I would'nt even want my boy in there.

I was just reading the same question posted on the Edsel user group forum. Now that Studebaker has sold out they are all worried the golden age of the motorized buggy might be drawing to a close.

You know the Edsel is only a couple of years older than Marshall! And a couple years younger than the Les Paul.

The funny thing about that yngwie photo is that he actually only uses 1 head and maybe a backup. Maybe a 50w and a 100w.

If Trump had this kind of wall in mind there is no way anyone is getting within 50 feet of that wall without getting blown away. Imagine if they offered shifts to play through 10,000 4x12s at once?

where did you get the news that Marshall may be done? Interesting thing i do notice these days is you dont see as many Marshalls on stage as we use to. The thing i do miss is seeing a stage with a quad box or two , i remeber seeing a fsmous Australian Band called the Angels back in the day and sitting on stage were a couple of Quad boxes and i think they may have been JCM 800 heads , that same band these days use two little amps , doesnt sound the same as i remember them , you cant beat a thundering quad pushing lots of air , though i do somehow feel that era may make a return , all fads go in cycles.
