Identity of 1973 Marshall cab?!?

    The paint on the cabinet is pretty thick. I tried a paint stripper but it didn’t work well. I just bought some Jasco and hopefully that will work better. I’m going to test it on a small portion of the cabinet tomorrow.

    The last resort is to use black spray paint over the white paint. But the white paint is so thick that it’s filled much of the grain of the tolex so it may not look the greatest.

    Leave it. That's the story of the cabinet. It doesn't affect the sound.

    Glad the speaker combo is working for you.
    BTW. The correct screw head type this era is Pozidrive number 2 Many people use Philips driver bits and wonder why they strip! Early ones had domed countersunk and this era flat top countersunk.

    After first tying a screw I thought would work, then realizing it wouldn’t, I found a years old thread on this forum in which a member mentioned the 2BA cheesehead screws. Very helpful.

    I meant the back panel screws.

    Got it. I didn’t get the correct screws for the back, but the ones in there weren’t correct either.
