Yes, very aware of that.
my thoughts exactly. The standard M is 97 and the Herritage M is 96. Remember that is a log scale.
Oh and they are not metric!!!!!
They are 2BA
-if you use metric you will strip the threads.
whatcha doing with the wood? that's some nice wood
Sorry to hear that OP, I had a similar issue recently when trying to order a tele. They sent me a strat, and (like you) I had to take pictures of everything to prove they sent the wrong item.
In your situation, though, you'd think this type of mix-up would be impossible. It's not even close to the same thing. Happy to hear that you can get it resolved, and it wasn't a scam though.
Good luck, and let us know how the speaker works out, once you've got it installed and broken in.
A couple of years ago I sent a Series 1 2x12 BB cab with a pair of original 67 G12Ms to Ned B in Chicago and a Celestion Alnico to Texas in completely correctly labelled boxes of very different sizes. They were scanned and checked in but someone switched the bar codes and they went to the wrong people despite the 'correct' address labels, weight and custom declarations etc.
Fortunately after a lot of hassle (and stress my end) things got correctly redelivered.
DIY. Speakers coming separately in the next post.
2BA is what I got. They’re already installed and are a perfect fit.
I definitely will. I like the G12M/G12H combo a lot from what I’ve heard.
That is a hassle. StewMac will make good on it but the error delays the whole thing by a week. Oh well.
one thing though, that sure is an ugly body blank...
remind me not to buy a body blank from Stew-Mac...
You can still use the cab until the speaker arrives by blocking the hole with the wood
Shame to drill 4 holes in a nice chopping board though.
Came here to say this. ^^^ Use the wood to fill the hole in the cabinet. Paint the back of the wood green.
That's what she said.
That's what she said.
Well, if a speaker weighs as much as a duck, it must be made of wood. You should build a bridge out of it!
Now wait just a moment everyone. I think that may actually be a Greenback.
They are known for having the best woody tone. Wire those up and report back.
GBs are famous for a real woody tone….
Damnit! @Kutt beat me to it!
Imagine somewhere else is a guy who just set up shop with a brand new band saw, planer, sander plus paint and lacquer. With time off to make it a long weekend.
"Greenback? What kind of a joke is this?"
Still, I feel your pain. I hope in the end it all gets right and something good will have come out of it.
Might as well replace the grill cloth and make her look nice and snazy , didn't see the front but a new white piping won't hurt either , it's all an easy fix with a staple gun.
