If an amp blows fuses and as Pede says it even had a wrong value fuse. Then sorry, that's not mint in my book. Plus the seller said new tubes. If I read right, tubes weren't even the same brand?

The one and only thing I'm concerned about is the burned board, nothing else. Anything else I can have fixed no problem.

yeah, but, you shouldn't have to have anything else fixed...

    unless it was disclosed (upfront)

Like dogs of doom said, Mint means playable from the 1st unboxing, not blowing fuses and needing ANYTHING repaired, including tubes let alone burnt boards.

    Cmonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn reverb

Just got an email from Reverb:

"We now have everything we need to move forward with a return. I am exploring options with the seller now, and I hope to have a return shipping label available to you soon. In the meantime, please pack this amp for return shipment."

Done deal. What kind of feedback should I leave this jackass on the transaction? :hmm:

Just state everything that was true. Don't be a dick.
If the shipping was fast and packaging was secure state it.
If it was not as disclosed state it and provide why.
If they promptly returned your money state it and say why, try to use Reverb's own words. No need to be a douchebag, even though the seller was. Rise above.

Awesome news about shipping label. You didn't deserve a jacked up amp, bro.

Pede, I bet some other fellas here with more experience than I have with PCB amps can look at the guts shots and advise better than I can. Good luck man.

Hmm a mod and therefore low input 2 doesn't work. I'd probably hate that. But that's just me.b

"I read I can carefully scrape the burn off with a razor blade and clean it up with isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip."

Micro-threads of carbon can form in the fiberglass, so scraping the burn off the board is not 100% reliable.
The board can keep burning unless all the carbon is cut out from between the copper traces. (OR) the copper trace is bypassed with wire entirely.

I take it that: you weren't supposed to open the amp and look inside. The seller was counting on you being unaware of what was really inside....
Unfortunately a lot of amps being sold on the internet are actually broken / defect and the seller is just trying to get rid of it.

I haven't asked the seller any questions yet, I'm assuming hes got a one wire mod installed for more gain since the low input doesn't work, I'll have to ask but meanwhile I hope the gurus step up and look at the pictures for me, I might have to start a separate thread to get anybody to look at it....

I'm still trying to decide what I really want, I've also considered going with Ceriatone. I'm thinking of posting a survey of the options I'm looking at and hear the pros and cons of each from the guys.

Hey I'm also trying to negotiate a sweet looking 2013 black SG with small pickguard and 57 pickups. :yesway:

The amp has the presence pot on the back.
There is a pre-pi MV in the presence spot.
Work looks to be ok, the specific mods are not to my taste and I suggest you play it before you buy.

I got my refund tonight. They took away my ability to rate the transaction, oh well I wasnt gonna say anything nice any way. So I ordered a back ordered SV20H with the money and will wait a few weeks for delivery. Cheers and thanks for your support fellas. :yesway:
