I have a bunch of extra Lollars around the house and figured I’d make a pickguard for the Surfcaster to fit a couple of them properly. The Kent Armstrong Lipstick tubes were pretty crappy so I got rid of them and finally had a day to get this going.

Whoo! These pickups are a HUGE improvement.

Now I’m going to have to get the original hardware gold plated.

I’m pleased with how the pickguard turned out. The BWB is much nicer looking than the WBW of the original pickguard.

You know? It’s almost comical how much better Lollars are than stock pickups.

Was it cnc or did you make a template and router? Looks good
CNC. I copied the original pickguard with my scanner and imported it into Vcarve. Then I got the pickup dimensions from the Lollar site and designed in the pickup cutouts. I also deleted the tone control which I disconnect on every guitar.
