it's pretty good when you have it set up with 2 amps , as one amp is for your guitar and the second amp is for the trio and wala you have a band . I got this pedal when it came out and like it . You can use it with one amp alone but when you play clean or distorted that's how the band sound will come out , the same as your tone from your guitar , that's why it works better using 2 amps .

Sorry @ricksdisconnected if the Trio talk derailed the thread on hyped gear. (Although this opposite angle is innaresting imho as well)

One of my sons had this flexible ink pen when he was younger, and I've found that if I slip it under the rear of the Floyd bridge, it makes string changes 100% quicker and easier. I blocked a couple of mine to dive only, so it's totally not an issue with those.

You can tame ANY 100-watt tube head by putting a good overdrive pedal (and preferably a Boss GE-7 EQ) in front of it.

    I've done this for years.

GE in the loop if your amp has one.

This thing wound up in my guitar toolkit, where it remains. I doubled it, then secured it that way with a couple of cable ties. It holds the bridge at a perfectly level height and it's soft on the finish.

That also works, but for me, there's something about the GE-7 that just enhances the sound when run inline. It's hard to describe. It just seems to bring it to life somehow.

And now for the Number 1 "I don't get the hype" product for me: Elixer strings. I actually hate them. Tried them on acoustic, hated them. "But...but...but they last forever!" Well, "forever" is a long time to play on dull-sounding strings.

Now for the electric experience: I got my first Carvin guitar back in 2015. Beautiful instrument. I plugged it in and it sounded dull and lifeless. My first thought was, "I guess it's true what they say; the Carvin pickups suck." So my first thought was that I would be doing a pickup swap pretty quickly.

But then I changed my strings. Holy cow! This guitar came to life and suddenly sounded as good, if not better, than my Jackson USA models. It actually makes me wonder if that's where the myth of "Carvin pickups suck" comes from. People order them, they sound lifeless, and they assume it's the pickups when it's actually those dull-assed Elixer strings Carvin ships them with.

Did anyone say TSL/DSL2000 50 and 100 yet?
I mean if you know a certain car type or appliance type is a lemon people stop buying them.
And do not tell me they are great because they are not. There are many great amplifiers without issues.

Spot on. I have a boatload of Carvins/Kiesels all equipped with either M22's, C22's, A500 active module and their Litium pups and to my ears these guitars sound best with Dunlop strings. Other brands just don't do it. Have never changes out a Carvin/kiesel pup.

I feel conflicted about the JCM2000’s. They are great designs, IMO, except for the EQ imbalance between channels on the DSL. Obviously Marshall botched their manufacture. I loved mine when I had it, but I wouldn’t buy another one.

I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a current DSL.
