    Agreed.

    Fischer gets all the love, but I always thought Howard's parts were just as interesting and he had to cover Keys too.

    Loved the little Jeff Beck pulloffs in Magic Man.

    and whew...I saw the thread title and with all the deaths lately, I thought this was another RIP thread.

    Saw him with Heart back in the day, and again a few years ago with Bad Company when Mick Ralphs couldn't make the trip to the US because of his health.

    Excellent guitarist.

    The first time I heard "Magic Man" I was blown away I was an instant Heart fan !!!

    I acquired these G12H30 gray backs from a Seattle area musician who told me that they once belonged to Howard Leese .... They are from '74 so it is very possible, anyhow they do sound great and have the original cones.

    The Japanese factories were onto the "complete package" for tone reproduction in LP copies, at their peak in '79-'81.
